ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm David Warrington, a 21-year-old from Central City, Iowa with a passion for play-by-play. I graduated in the Class of 2020 from Central City High School in Central City, Iowa, and I am now a senior at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, where I am majoring in Journalism. At UNI, I am a play-by-play broadcaster for several sports on the ESPN3 and ESPN+ platforms. Sports I have covered on television include men's and women's basketball, volleyball, softball, and women's soccer.

My future career goal is to work full time as a sports broadcaster. After originally planning to go into business, I found my passion for announcing in 2019 during my senior year of high school. I called a junior high and junior varsity football doubleheader, and I was instantly hooked.

Outside of journalism, I also enjoy playing video games, specifically sports games such as Madden, NBA 2k, and MLB The Show. I enjoy playing basketball and spending time with my family. When I'm not at my apartment just off campus in Cedar Falls, I live with my mom, and two sisters in Central City. I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend of six years, Courtney, and my pets, my dog Charlie and my cat Princess.
